Dallas Area Girls League:
Coppell is once again offering a Dallas Area Girls’ League on Tuesday nights this summer from June 10-August 12. Players are drafted onto one of 5 or 6 teams with each team playing a game each Tuesday night at Andy Brown Park West. The pace of play is fast, and there are no practices and minimal coaching. This is NOT a league for beginning players. The website says that it is for 9th graders through post-collegiate, but Julie played last year as a rising 8th grader as did a few other girls. Players must be 13 years old as of June 9, 2008. Cost is $90 during early registration (by 5/18), $105 from 5/19-6/8, and $125 thru 6/28. Space is limited and last year’s league did fill up. (Julie has already registered for this league.) One nice thing about this league is that you can just skip the games when you are on vacation and show up when you are available. More information is available at www.texaslacrosse.com and you may register online at DFW area summer camps

East West Sports Camps: will conduct a camp June 5-8 at the Hockaday School in Dallas. Cost ranges from $375-475 depending upon whether your player commutes or is an overnight camper. Registration Information

North Texas US Lacrosse Chapter: A summer league which will be divided by age group (U-13, U-15, and U-17). This league should be appropriate for developing players, but is open to all skill levels. This league will be on Tuesday nights from June 17-August 5 and games will be played at the Ross Stewart Soccer Complex in Farmer’s Branch (Luna Rd. and Spring Valley Rd.). Registration Information
